Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 9 November 2025
1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy
Praetorian X Pty. Ltd. (ACN/ABN [Your ACN/ABN]) ("we," "us," or "our") is built on a foundation of privacy. We are not in the business of harvesting or selling your personal data. We believe in data minimisation—collecting only what is absolutely necessary to provide you with our Products and Services.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your "personal information" as defined by the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This policy applies to your use of PraetorianX.au, PraetorianOS.au (the "Sites"), and all associated Products (like the Praetorian Phone) and Services (like our VPN).
2. What We Collect (and What We Don't)
We have a simple policy: if we don't need it, we don't ask for it, and we don't collect it.
When You Visit Our Websites
- WE DO NOT use tracking cookies.
- WE DO NOT use third-party analytics services like Google Analytics.
- WE DO collect routine, anonymised server logs (like your IP address) for security and anti-DDOS purposes. These logs are not tied to your personal identity and are purged on a rotating basis.
When You Purchase a Product
- WE DO collect the minimal information required to fulfill your order. This includes:
- A shipping address.
- A contact method (such as a mobile number or email) for order confirmation and shipping updates.
- Your payment reference (e.g., the mobile number you use as reference for the bank transfer) to match your payment to your order.
- WE DO NOT collect credit card information. All payments are made via direct bank transfer, and we do not see or store your personal bank account details, balance, or transaction history.
When You Use Your PraetorianOS Device
- WE DO NOT collect any telemetry, analytics, location data, app usage, or personal information from your device. Your data is yours.
- WE DO provide an over-the-air (OTA) update service. To check for updates, your device contacts our server with non-identifiable information (e.g., "DeviceModel-A, CurrentVersion-1.0"). This request is not and cannot be tied to your identity, IP address, or device serial number.
When You Use Our Subscription Services (VPN/SIM)
- For our VPN Service: We operate on a strict no-logs policy. We do not log, monitor, or store your browsing activity, DNS requests, connection timestamps, or originating IP address.
- For our Anonymous SIM Service: We act as a provider for the service. We do not link your personal identity from your purchase to your SIM card's usage.
When You Contact Us for Support
- WE DO collect your email address or phone number and the contents of your conversation. We use this *only* to resolve your support query.
3. How We Use & Protect Your Information
How We Use It
We use the limited information we collect for the following purposes:
- To Fulfill Your Order: To process your payment, build your device, and ship it to you.
- To Provide Services: To create and manage your VPN or SIM account.
- To Provide Support: To answer your questions and resolve issues.
- To Meet Legal Obligations: To comply with our legal and tax obligations as an Australian company.
How We Protect It
Your information is stored on secure, encrypted servers. Access is restricted to authorised personnel who require it to perform their jobs (e.g., a shipping manager needs to see your address). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.
When We Disclose It
We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We only disclose your information in two specific and limited circumstances:
- To Service Providers: We provide your shipping address to our courier (e.g., Australia Post) for the sole purpose of delivering your Product.
- For Legal Compliance: If we are presented with a valid, binding warrant or subpoena from a competent Australian court of law, we are required to comply. We will not and cannot provide data we do not have (such as device telemetry or VPN logs).
4. Data Retention & Deletion
We only keep your personal information for as long as it is needed.
- Order Information (Shipping Address): We retain this information for our records and to service your 12-month hardware warranty. After this period, you may request its deletion.
- Support Enquiries: We purge support tickets and conversations after they are resolved and closed, following a short retention period.
5. Your Rights Under Australian Law
As an individual in Australia, you have rights under the Privacy Act, including the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct any information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date.
- Request the deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal and warranty obligations.
To exercise these rights, please contact our Privacy Officer at the email below.
6. How to Make a Complaint
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact our Privacy Officer with the full details of your complaint. We will investigate the matter and respond to you in writing.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last Updated" date at the top.
